Amish Cooking Class Cookbook

Fans of New York Times bestselling author Wanda E. Brunstetter’s Amish romance novels are invited to go back to cooking basics with characters from the bestselling Amish Cooking Class series. Heidi Troyer, her students, and other contributors share over 200 practical recipes for use in any kitchen, along with tips to keep things running smoothly. From learning how to boil eggs and knead biscuits to building a German Pizza and an Amish Haystack feast, The Amish Cooking Class Cookbook includes something beneficial for every age and skill set. Divided into traditional cookbook categories, there is a recipe everyone will find to love.

This cookbook is conveniently bound with comb spiral binding which allows the cookbook to lay flat when opened and is printed on glossy paper making it very convenient to use on a kitchen counter. Wanda Brunstetter has woven together a fascinating book filled with delicious recipes along with a look into into the Amish way of life. It is based on a series of novels, fictitious characters taking a cooking class from an Amish woman. The chapters include Amish Cooking ,The Amish Kitchen, Bread and Rolls, Amish Mornings Breakfast Foods, Amish Sweets, Desserts, Amish Canning , Spread and Pickles, Amish Gatherings and Events, Main Dishes, Amish Slow and Steady Wins the Race Soups, Amish Skill Sharing Miscellaneous recipes, Amish Gardens Salads and Sides, Amish General Store Snacks, Dips, and Spices, Amish Children in the Kitchen Recipes for Children. Some of these recipes are incomplete. They may leave out the size of the pan or how much the recipe will make. That is typical of recipes handed down through the years.

I really enjoyed the cookbook. I liked the pictures, reading the snippets of life and reading the recipes. I think I will be trying many of the recipes.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
