The Storm Within-Book Review

In The Storm Inside:

Sheila Walsh shares deeply and honestly about the storms that rage inside us--heartbreak, disappointment, insecurity, despair, insignificance, rage, regret, fear, shame and unforgiveness. Each chapter concludes with a section "Standing in the
Storm" that offers insightful questions, Bible verses of hope and a prayer.Sheila shows us how to move from:
From heartbreak to strength
from disappointment to hope
from unforgiveness to freedom
from rage to restoration
from fear to joy
from shame to love
from regret to rest
from insecurity to confidence
from insignificance to courage
from despair to faith

The Storm Inside was about how every woman goes through storms, some more traumatic then others, but that God can give us peace through our storms. Sheila reminds us that "The cross has given us a place to take the worst that has been done to us and leave it there for God to handle." God has taken all that shame, pain and blame and we are free to leave it at the foot of the cross. Sheila says, "Fair doesn't live here anymore but Jesus does." –
One quote from the book that cut like a knife is:
“Forgiveness is not about removing someone else’s liability, but about setting our own hearts free.”This really made me think about forgiveness and whether there is anyone I need to forgive so I am set free.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone. It is a great book to read alone but would also make a powerful Bible study to do with friends.
I received a free copy of an e book as a member of the Launch Team in exchange for my honest review. Thomas Nelson has provided me with a complimentary  print copy of this book in order to review it.  I am not required to give a positive review.  All my opinions are my own.
