The Storm Inside was about how every
woman goes through storms, some more traumatic then others, but that God can
give us peace through our storms. Sheila reminds us that
"The cross has given us a place to take the worst that has been done to us
and leave it there for God to handle." God has taken all that shame, pain
and blame and we are free to leave it at the foot of the cross. Sheila says, "Fair doesn't live here anymore but Jesus
does." –
One quote
from the book that cut like a knife is:
“Forgiveness
is not about removing someone else’s liability, but about setting our own
hearts free.”This really made me think about forgiveness and whether there is
anyone I need to forgive so I am set free.
I would highly recommend this book to
anyone. It is a great book to read alone but would also make a powerful Bible
study to do with friends.
I
received a free copy of an e book as a member of the Launch Team in exchange
