The June Vintage Schnibble is Dulcinea chosen by Sinta and Sherri for the July 1 parade. I had not made a pin wheel pattern before. I used a leftover charm pack of Double Chocolat and a little of a Blessing charm pack plus some material I had one hand. The pattern is by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.

My block finished at 7 1/2 instead of 6 1/2. I could not figure out how to use the 45 degree line on my ruler so I trimmed min down to 4 inches before sewing the blocks together. My Dulcinea finished at 38 by 38. I did not have enough charms to make the pieced outside border so I added a 3 1/2 brown border and will bind it in red.
I enjoyed making this quilt and was able to finish it in one day. The longest part was trimming down the 64 blocks but I was able to watch Miss Congeniality while I did that part.

Be on the lookout for the parade coming up at the beginning of the month on the blogs of both Sinta and Sherri, who are so kind to put on the Schnibbles parade each time for us. Special thanks to Carrie Nelson for designing such amazing patterns and for being so helpful too!
After a good night's rest I think I will look for some scraps of brown, red and blues to make the scrappy border that was on the original pattern. This will make the quilt around 44 inches square almost lap size. The colors match my livingroom curtain colors and I think it would look great on the back of my couch. Need to think on this for a bit. I may end up changing my mind again and just end up hanging Dulcinea on the wall.
Your Dulcinea is very pretty. You did a great job!
