Today is my day to show you the bowls that I made for the Bowls With Borders Blog Hop.
(The dates for this hop are August 13 through August 28.)
First of all, I want to thank Regina for making such a fun pattern and sharing it
with those of us who are participating in the blog hop. You can buy her pattern here.
I also want to thank the organizers, Madame Samm from Sew WE Quilt
and Carol from Just Let Me Quilt
The schedule for today is:
August 15th
Paper piecing is difficult for me. I loved the bowl pattern when I first saw it so I decided to give it a try. Once I got the directions figured out (the first part of the pattern took me an hour with a lot of seam ripper time) it went together fairly quickly. These bowls remind me of my grandmother's kitchen. It has an old time feel to it. I really enjoyed making this pattern and am glad that I persevered. Regina definitely has a great pattern and this is a very interesting blog hop to be a part of. This was my first blog hop to participate in.
Yummy colours! Your fresh and pretty bowls make me think of ice cream. So lovely.

Brenda, your bowls are lovely...love your fabric choice. Only one hour, you are good...I've paper pieced before and I almost wore out my ripper, went through 3 of the patterns to make the base of just 1 bowl...got out the scotch taped, taped all 3 of them before I finally got one base pieced....that was after a few choice words I uttered to myself. Thanks for sharing in the hop, have a wonderful week!!
ReplyDeleteNice bowls!
ReplyDeleteNice bowls, like all the material you've used, too. Thanks for sharing.
